Katelan Hostetler, MA, LPC sees her passion for helping children, teens and families find wholeness and healing to be at the heart of her counseling practice. With over fourteen years of experience working with children and families in various settings, Katelan believes deeply in the value of community. Knowing the importance of relationship and connectedness, Katelan employs a Strengths-Based and Trauma-informed approach that utilizes Family Systems and Person Centered treatment theories. Her eclectic and integrated model allows each client to receive individualized care while working toward reaching their personalized goals. Katelan has experience working with trauma, mood disorders, grief, family transitions, behavioral disturbances, self harm, and phase of life issues.

She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Multnomah University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Development, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, from Warner Pacific College. Katelan is currently working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist. With advanced training in child centered play therapy, sand tray therapy, and art therapy techniques, her expertise in providing expressive therapies allows children to communicate naturally and freely, in an environment uniquely designed to meet their needs.

In her free time, Katelan can be found enjoying the outdoors with her Boston Terrier, decorating extreme cakes, making art while drinking coffee, practicing yoga and happily taking advantage of all the Portland area has to offer!
